Caesars Palace founder's Vegas estate listed for $1.997M after price cuts
A piece of old Las Vegas glamour is back on the property market. The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the listing of Jay Sarno’s former residence, while current property records on Zillow and Realtor.com show the estate has been reduced to $1.997 million after initially being offered for $2.45 million. UNLV’s Special Collections also documents Sarno’s role in shaping the city’s casino history. Located at 221 Dalmatian Lane in the guard-gated Rancho Bel Air community, the 7,240-square-foot estate dates to 1978 and sits on roughly 0.86 acres. The property currently has eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms, along with five attached garage spaces, according to the current listing. For Las Vegas history buffs, however, its appeal goes well beyond the square footage. Sarno was the developer behind Caesars Palace, which opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1966, and Circus Circus, which followed two years later.
