Cabinet okays Puttur government medical college project

The Hindu BureauThe State Cabinet, at its meeting in Mangaluru on Friday, approved the setting up of a government medical college in Puttur at an estimated cost of ₹549.79 crore.
The college will come up at Sediyapu in Bannur village of Puttur taluk.
The State government had announced the opening of the college in Puttur in its 2025-26 Budget when Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister.
The government, in June this year, appointed a Special Officer to take the proposed project forward.
