BWSSB to set up 1 MLD decentralised STP near Tavarekere Park

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has called for tenders to establish a decentralised 1 million litres per day (MLD) capacity sewage treatment plant (STP) near Tavarekere Park, following local demand.
“A significant quantity of sewage currently flows through the stormwater drain near the park. Local residents and park users have raised concerns over the resulting foul odour, fly nuisance and unhygienic conditions. The proposed project is intended to provide a long-term solution to these issues,” BWSSB said in a statement.
