Businessman R. Veeramani, 84, and two other abettors have been arrested by the Anti-Vice Squad of Greater Chennai Police (GCP) under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The police said that on October 6, 2025, a man approached an Inspector of Anti-Vice Squad of the GCP and handed over a pen drive, stating that he had received it from an unidentified person who had come to his workplace.

On examining the video in the pen drive, the police found that a minor girl had been sexually assaulted by an elderly person.
