Bus hits truck parked on highway near Belagavi; one dead, 12 injured

A bus driver died and 12 passengers were injured after their bus collided with a parked truck on National Highway 48 in Karnataka. The injured were transported to local hospitals for treatment.

One person died and at least 12 others were injured in a road accident on National Highway 48 near Sankeshwar in Belagavi district of Karnataka on October 9.
An NWKRTC bus hit a tipper truck parked on the side of the highway. The driver of the bus, Snagappa Talwar, died on the spot. He hailed from Savadi village near Ron in Gadag district.
The injured were taken to the Sankeshwar taluk hospital, from where some were shifted to the district hospital in Belagavi.
