Louise Casey , the crossbench peer and former Whitehall official leading the government’s review of adult social care, has said she is opposed to what she calls “profiteering” in the case sector.

In an interview with ITV News , Casey said that she thought that allowing large parts of adult social care to be run by private companies for profit was a “mistake”.
