Burglars steal service pistol, 30 live cartridges, jewellery and cash from Nanded head constable’s home

Burglars broke into a police head constable’s home in Nanded’s Kautha area in Maharashtra on the night of September 18, 2026, and stole his service pistol, 30 live cartridges, cash, and gold jewellery worth over ₹16 lakh. Police have identified three suspects and formed six teams to trace them.

A case was registered at Nanded Rural Police Station on September 19, 2026, under Sections 331(4) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Section 331(4) deals with house-breaking committed to commit an offence punishable with imprisonment, while Section 305 covers theft in a dwelling house or other specified premises.
