Bulk up with Apple Fitness+ new Gym Strength workout planner

Apple Fitness+ is introducing a 'Gym Strength' feature in the iOS 27.3 beta, allowing users to create personalized, multi-week workout plans for gym environments. The feature adjusts future workouts based on the user's performance in previous sessions.
Why it matters
This expansion moves Apple Fitness+ beyond home-based exercise, positioning it as a more direct competitor to professional personal training apps.
Apple Fitness+ is usually intended for home workouts and occasional outdoor walks and runs, with exercises requiring little equipment other than an Apple Watch and a device screen. A new feature will change that, enabling it to help those with access to gym equipment.
Gym Strength, arriving in the iOS 27.3 developer beta, can create personalized workouts for users with either access to a public gym or their own home workout space. Just so long as they have some form of gym equipment they can use.
