Buikwe: Three Held Over Kidnapping, Shs100 Million Ransom Demand

Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the kidnapping of two children from Bujowali Zone in Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District, and recovered a firearm allegedly used in criminal activities.

The suspects were arrested on Sept. 17 by a joint team of police and sister security agencies following investigations into the children’s abduction. Police identified the first two suspects as Odongo Richard and Derick Nkuruziza. The third suspect, Kasaija Dan, is alleged to have been the overall commander of the group and to have received and withdrawn ransom money in Kampala.
