KUCHING, Sept 17 — The government has agreed to expand the BUDI Madani Diesel (BUDI Diesel) eligibility transfer facility, allowing registered owners of private diesel vehicles to transfer their eligibility to any eligible actual user, effective immediately.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said previously, the transfer of eligibility was restricted to immediate family members.

“Although we announced BUDI95 (BUDI Madani RON95) at 300 litres per month on the eve of National Day on August 31, pickup and jeep owners — an issue prevalent in Sabah and Sarawak — were still voicing their grievances, so we raised the subsidised diesel limit to 400 litres per month.
