BRSV stages protest at private medical college

Student activists from the BRS party protested at a private medical college in Hyderabad, alleging that the institution received recognition despite lacking necessary infrastructure. They are demanding a government inquiry into the university's approval process.
Why it matters
The protest highlights concerns regarding the quality of medical education and potential corruption in the accreditation of private institutions.
Activists of the BRS Vidyarthi, the student wing of BRS, led by its president Gellu Srinivas Yadav on Monday staged a protest at the Nova Medical College located on the outskirts of Hyderabad alleging that the college has been given recognition without having infrastructure as per the National Medical Commission guidelines.
They staged a protest outside the college demanding that the State government order an inquiry as to how the college was given recognition by the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences. They alleged that the authorities of the university colluded with the college management to give recognition without proper infrastructure and facilities, as required under the NMC guidelines.
