BRS MLAs took out shirts to insult women policemen, Congress women MLAs

A delegation of Congress women MLAs and other members lodged a complaint with the Telangana State Commission for Women seeking an inquiry and appropriate legal action against several Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislators over their alleged misconduct with women police personnel during a confrontation at the Legislative Assembly on September 7.
The complaint, submitted to the Commission for Women, alleged that the incident at Gate No. 3 involved “disgraceful conduct”, misogynistic remarks and physical intimidation of women police personnel deployed on security duty.
According to the complaint, BRS leaders such as former Minister T. Harish Rao, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, MLC Naveen Kumar Reddy and MLAs Bandari Lakshma Reddy, K.P. Vivekanand and D. Sudheer Reddy, confronted the police personnel.
