Why it matters
This reflects the ongoing political rivalry and blame-shifting between major parties regarding education sector corruption allegations.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has alleged that both the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are trying to divert people’s attention from the issue of NEET question paper leak by resorting to mudslinging on the party by bringing in unrelated issues to the fore and linking them to it.
Party spokesperson Manne Krishank said here on Saturday that the Congress and BJP had criticised BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao for holding a rally expressing solidarity with the youth and students protesting across the country on the issue of NEET question paper leak. Meanwhile, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had taken out a rally at Kondangal in support of Rahul Gandhi, and not on the NEET issue, he said.
