Broncos beat Seahawks in overtime despite 168-yard output from Bo Nix's offense
The Denver Broncos defeated the Seattle Seahawks 17-14 in overtime despite a historically low offensive performance of only 168 total yards. Quarterback Bo Nix faced significant criticism for his play, despite the team securing a 4-2 record.
Why it matters
The game highlights the struggles of a young quarterback and the rarity of winning an NFL game with such limited offensive production.
The Denver Broncos earned a 17-14 overtime win over the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night despite an anemic offense that put up just 168 yards over four-plus quarters.
After the tilt, quarterback Bo Nix focused on the W rather than what needed fixing.
"You're just excited about the win," Nix said, via the team’s official website. "That's the most important. Then, this week we'll figure out those ways to get better again. Just excited for our team right now to go through that six-game stretch and come out 4-2."
The 168-yard output is the first time since John Elway's first start in 1983 that the Broncos have won a game with fewer than 175 total yards.
