The Lions (13-7) will be hoping that their shock thumping at the hands of Carlton last week was the loss they needed to have after seven consecutive victories had put them back among the premiership fancies.
Brisbane has problems to sort out in an undermanned defence having conceded 100-plus scores eight times this year – the same number as in the Lions' two premiership-winning seasons combined.
