‘Bring plantation sector under administrative control of Industries Department’
The Planters’ Association of Tamil Nadu is urging the state government to consolidate administrative control of the plantation sector under the Department of Industries and Commerce. They argue that current multi-departmental oversight causes coordination issues and hinders industry efficiency.
Why it matters
Streamlining administrative control could significantly impact the economic viability and regulatory compliance of the plantation industry in Tamil Nadu.
