NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi warned against weaponisation of technology and critical minerals that could block Brics’ progress, while emphasising inclusivity in the adoption of technology.The remarks delivered in the final session of the summit - in the presence of Chinese President Xi Jinping - mirrored Modi’s exhortation for Brics at the Rio summit last year to work towards secure and reliable supply chains and prevent any country from using these resources as a weapon. China was represented by Premier Li Qiang at that summit.Modi was addressing a session on the 4 pillars of India’s Brics chairship - resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability - in which leaders of the grouping and partner countries participated.
