Breast cancer awareness run gets good response in Tiruchi

A breast cancer awareness event called 'Mammorun' was held in Tiruchi, featuring 21-km and 5-km runs to promote screening. The organizing foundation also operates a mobile screening bus that has reached thousands of women in the region.

A large number of people participated in a “Mammorun” organised by Dr. K. Shantha Breast Cancer Foundation and Dr. G. Viswanathan Group of Hospitals in Tiruchi to raise awareness about breast cancer.
The 21-km run was flagged off by Seetharaman, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Srirangam, from the hospital premises at Mambazhasalai. The 5-km fun run was flagged off by V. Balakrishnan, Inspector-General of Police, Central Zone, Tiruchi, from the Uzhavar Sandhai at Tennur.
The event concluded at Jamal Mohamed College, where prizes were given away to the winners and medals and certificates were presented to the participants.
