Neale received a one-game ban for a first-quarter stomach punch to Hawthorn’s Jack Ginnivan in Saturday night’s thrilling preliminary final .

The incident occurred late in the first quarter, with Neale remonstrating to an exchange between Ginnivan and teammate Eric Hipwood.

It was graded as intentional with medium impact and body contact, resulting in a one-match ban. As it stands Neale will miss next Saturday’s decider against Fremantle and the chance to win a third straight Lions premiership.
