Fresh fears have emerged in parts of Adamawa and Borno states following an intelligence alert by the Department of State Services (DSS) warning that Boko Haram terrorists are planning major operations in Michika and Askira Uba local government areas after the reported collapse of a ceasefire arrangement with the two state governments.
The document, referenced 0.211/3827, was signed on behalf of the Adamawa State Director of Security by Ben Osifor.
According to the DSS, intelligence indicates that the insurgents intend to launch coordinated attacks in the affected areas.
