A Delhi Court on Saturday (October 10) rejected Cockroach Janta Party's legal affairs head Ratna Singh's plea seeking registration of FIR against policemen alleging wrongful confinement as well as restraining her from going to protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in relation to the conduct of SIR.Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Abhinav Pandey, Saket Courts also dismissed Singh's plea seeking her release from alleged wrongful confinement as being not maintainable.In its order, the Court said that Singh failed to mention jurisdiction in which alleged offences were committed, no public servant was specified against whom the allegations were made, and that no affidavit was annexed regarding veracity of allegations.Singh was represented by advocate Adit S Pujari.The plea states that earlier today while Singh was proceeding towards Supreme Court with two fellow advocates, to be part of protest of lawyers, she was not permitted to move from outside her house.
