Brazil's largest lender Itaú is stepping deeper into the tokenization

Itaú Unibanco, Latin America's largest bank, has partnered with OpenAssets to launch a pilot program for tokenizing fixed-income securities and investment funds. The initiative, overseen by the Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association (ANBIMA), aims to establish technical standards for blockchain-based financial asset management.
Itaú Unibanco has started working with digital-asset infrastructure provider OpenAssets on a tokenization pilot run by Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association ANBIMA, the companies said Tuesday.
