Brampton man murdered, body dumped in Hamilton: police

The body of a man found in Stoney Creek, Ont., on Wednesday has been identified as belonging to a Brampton man, and his death has been deemed a homicide.
Hamilton police provided the update on Thursday in a news release.
Police said 29-year-old Taranpreet Singh Sidhu was found Wednesday morning in a culvert near the north end of Fruitland Road, near Harbour Drive.
Det. Sgt. Robert Dillani told reporters during a news conference later that day that a civilian found Sidhu on some rocks, partially submerged in shallow water.
Sidhu was shortly pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, the 29-year-old immigrated to Canada from India in 2022.
He lived in Brampton and Halifax and worked as a truck driver.
