Brain-dead man’s organs gives new lease of life to four people

The lungs, liver and kidney of a 34-year-old man, who was declared brain-dead at KIMS Bollineni Hospital on Thursday, were transported to hospitals in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad by road and air from Rajamahendravaram city on Friday.
Rajamahendravaram city police facilitated the transportation of the organs by creating a green corridor for the ambulances from the hospital to Rajahmundry airport and by road along the national highway.
