Bradley Barcola transfer news: Liverpool reach £120m deal in principle for PSG forward

We cannot talk about players that are, right now, not ours.</p><p>"It's evident we are trying to improve or to fill that position because we don't have the numbers. I hope we can have good news soon."</p><h3>Liverpool's search for a second winger</h3><p>Liverpool have approached Palace over a potential deal for Sarr.</p><p>Andoni Iraola's side are considering their options after talks stalled with Brighton over Minteh. Brighton are holding out for £80m after rejecting two bids from Liverpool, the latest worth £60m.</p> <widget id="4"></widget><p>Meanwhile, Palace have no intention of letting Sarr go at this stage and consider the 28-year-old to be not for sale. He has three years left on his contract.</p><p>Sarr missed Palace's opening weekend defeat at Everton. Reports claimed he was refusing to train but it is understood that the winger is currently injured.</p> <widget id="8"></widget><h3>Lyon sell-on clause in Barcola deal revealed</h3><p><em>Latest from Sky Sports News' Amar Mehta: </em></p><p>Lyon would receive a share of Bradley Barcola's transfer fee should he leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, <em>Sky Sports News </em>understands.</p><p>The French champions signed Barcola from Lyon in 2023 for £38.6m (€45m) with the deal including a sell-on clause.</p><p>It is understood that while a £120m deal with Liverpool has not been completed yet, it is progressing well with PSG's president and sporting director continuing talks from the Champions League draw in Monaco.</p><p>The transfer would be a record for a player leaving the French league, with PSG making a significant profit on a player who has helped the club win two Champions League titles in three seasons.</p> <widget id="10"></widget><h3>Carra: I'd love Barcola at Liverpool - but they need to replace Salah!</h3><p>Sky Sports' Jamie Carragher believes that Barcola is not the profile of player Liverpool should be prioritising, despite admitting he would be a "great" signing for the club.</p><p>The former defender has said Liverpool should be prioritising the signing of a right-winger to replace Mohamed Salah after the Egypt forward left the club at the end of last season.</p><p>Barcola predominantly operates off the left wing but has featured on the opposite flank during his time at PSG.</p> <widget id="9"></widget><p>"He's a great player, there's no doubt about that - I'd love to get Barcola at Liverpool," Carragher told <em>Sky Sports News</em>. "But he's a left winger for me.</p><p>"Liverpool's big thing that stands out like a sore thumb right now is replacing Mo Salah, a right winger. And I don't think Liverpool have got anybody really in the squad who looks fully comfortable playing right wing.</p><p>"They probably have at least four players in the squad before Barcola joins, if he joins, who could play on the left-hand side comfortably.</p><p>"Now, I'm not saying any of those players are better than Barcola. But in terms of the balance of the squad, it's not the position Liverpool need right now. They need a right winger.</p><p>"But if you're saying to me, do I want Barcola to come and Liverpool are going to sign a right winger as well? I'll be absolutely delighted because players would have to move on. Of course they would.</p><p>"But right now, I felt this summer would be about replacing Mo Salah.
