A six-year-old boy who died when he was struck by a van has been named as Harrison Glynne Jones.

In a tribute on a fund-raising page launched to support his family, he was described as a "cheeky chappy, full of character with a personality that could light up a room", and who had been "loved more deeply than words could ever express".

Officers were called to reports of an incident involving a white Ford Transit Tipper and a child on Mill Road in Llanfairfechan, Conwy county, after 17:00 BST on Thursday, where Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.

North Wales Police said a 39-year-old man had been arrested and later released under investigation.
