A four-year-old boy has died after a car and an off-road bike were involved in a crash in Newark.

Nottinghamshire Police said emergency services were called to Churchill Drive at about 18:00 BST on Sunday after receiving reports of a collision.

The boy, who was a passenger on the off-road bike, was declared dead at the scene.

A 24-year-old man who was riding on the same bike suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, and has also been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
