Boy, 3, dies after falling into pond in Crosby

A three-year-old boy has died after falling into a pond on Saturday night. Emergency services were called to an address on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby to reports that a boy had fallen into a pond. Both Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service attended the incident and the child was taken to hospital where he died. The death is not believed to be suspicious. Officers are continuing to support the family of the young boy and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that emergency services were called to an address on Brownmoor Lane in Crosby on Saturday evening (July 18) following a report a three-year-old boy had fallen into a pond.
