Botswana- U.S health milestone celebrated

The message was conveyed by Deputy Permanent Secretary to the President, Omphile Sehurutshe, during an occasion to take stock of Global Health Supply Chain Program (GHSC-PSM Botswana), since its launch 10 years ago. The event celebrated a decade of collaboration that has bolstered the country’s health commodity systems, improved access to essential medicines and supported Botswana’s progress toward ending AIDS as a public health threat. Officials from the two governments gathered at Hotel 430 on Thursday to celebrate the partnership that has quietly reshaped how Botswana moves life-saving drugs from central stores to patients in every district since the maiden shipment of medicines and the first training sessions commenced.Speaking at the milestone gathering, Sehurutshe described the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on “a decade of partnership, innovation and shared commitment to strengthening Botswana’s health system, advancing our national health outcomes, and improving the quality of life of Batswana”.
