Mon, 08/31/2026 - 21:58 Gaborone (Botswana), 31 August 2026 (SPS) – The Ministry of International Relations of the Republic of Botswana announced with deep sorrow the passing of His Excellency El Hiba Sidi Abbes, Ambassador of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) to Botswana and Permanent Representative to the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Ambassador El Hiba Sidi Abbes passed away on 30 August 2026 at Bokamoso Private Hospital in Gaborone, according to an announcement issued by the Botswana Ministry of International Relations.
