Botman Gets 7.5, Hornicek With 5 | Newcastle United Players Rated In Disappointing Loss Vs Coventry City

Newcastle United clashed heads with Coventry City at the Coventry Building Society Arena earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a sloppy start to the game and conceded the opening goal from the penalty spot in the sixth minute when Jack Rudoni scored for the home side. The Tyneside club went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Sidiki Cherif doubled his side's lead in the 48th minute before Sven Botman got a goal back for Newcastle in the 70th minute. However, the visitors conceded another goal in the 81st minute when Ellis Simms found the back of the net. Stephen Mfuni put the match to bed just five minutes later as the match finished with Newcastle suffering a disappointing 4-1 loss away from home.
