Borussia Mönchengladbach face an anxious wait over the fitness of Daiki Hashioka. The Japanese defender was taken directly to hospital following Saturday's 3-0 Bundesliga defeat against RB Leipzig. Hashioka was involved in a heavy collision with Leipzig attacker Antonio Nusa in the second half. The 26-year-old required lengthy treatment before being substituted and was subsequently transported to Leipzig University Hospital for further examinations.
According to Kicker , Gladbach are investigating whether Hashioka may have suffered an injury to the cervical spine. His neck was immobilized and stabilized as a precaution.
