That was before she walked the red carpet at The Hollywood in Avondale for the premiere of Where Beauty Hides last week.
The Rotorua-born 37-year-old plays Vivian Marsden, an investigative journalist searching for a mysterious bestselling author, in the New Zealand romantic drama written and directed by Tremaine Leaso.
Dressed in a Knuefermann gown with her hair and makeup done, she walked into the cinema and saw her face on a poster.
Pascoe said it felt “surreal”, especially as the premiere was packed.
“I’m just a mum ... how did this happen?”
Pascoe thought her acting “glory days” were over.
