The race for the Bono Regional Communications Director position of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is gaining early momentum, following a strong show of support for Abubakar Yakubu popularly known as “Baba Amando” by grassroots communicators across the region.
On Wednesday, 15 July, a delegation of constituency communications officers, serial callers, and party activists converged at the Bono Regional Elections Committee office in Sunyani to pick nomination forms on his behalf, signalling growing confidence in his leadership ahead of the party’s regional executive elections.
The delegation, drawn from constituencies including Tain, Sunyani East, Sunyani West and others, was led by Tain Constituency Communications Officer Richard Appia-Kubi, who described the move as a deliberate endorsement of Amando’s competence and experience in political communication.
