Bondada bags ₹1,153.93 cr. EPC order for 270 MWp solar project in Maharashtra

Bondada Engineering has secured a ₹1,153.93 crore EPC contract for a 270 MWp solar project in Maharashtra. This follows a recent financing sanction for another solar project, signaling the company's aggressive expansion into the renewable energy sector.
Why it matters
The contract underscores the rapid growth of India's renewable energy infrastructure and the increasing role of private engineering firms in meeting national green energy targets.
Bondada Engineering has received ₹1,153.93 crore EPC order for development of a 270 MWp ground-mounted solar PV project across various locations in Maharashtra.
The project is a significant addition to Bondada’s renewable energy portfolio and will be executed over a six-month period, from the receipt of the order, the Hyderabad-headquartered company said on Tuesday without mentioning the entity that has placed the order.
It reflects the growing scale of opportunities “we are pursuing in the renewable energy sector. The 270 MWp project strengthens our solar EPC portfolio and reinforces our focus on building execution capabilities across high-growth segments such as renewable energy and BESS,” Chairman and Managing Director Bondada Raghavendra Rao said.
Bondada Engineering shares gained 3.63% to close at ₹279.65 apiece on the BSE.
