Bok stars headline Stormers' 56-man squad for URC and Champions Cup

SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT: The Stormers have officially unveiled their squad for the 2026/2027 season.

The 56-man squad consists of 17 internationals, which includes 15 Springboks. There are also four Junior Springboks from the championship-winning side earlier this year.

Centre Ruhan Nel will be the club captain for the season.

In total, eighteen players from the 21/22 URC title-winning campaign remain part of the group.

Meanwhile, the big Bok names back in Cape Town are Siya Kolisi (118 Stormers caps), Wilco Louw (52 caps) and Cheslin Kolbe.

The Stormers open the season with a two-match URC tour, taking on Connacht in Galway before heading to Edinburgh.

Director of Rugby John Dobson believes this is the deepest Stormers squad in recent seasons, in line with the stated aims of Project 2029.
