CEBU CITY – The province of Bohol has tightened its anti-African Swine Fever (ASF) measures.
Gov. Aris Aumentado has issued an executive order (EO) banning the entry of live hogs and other regulated commodities from ASF-affected areas in Cebu province and Cebu City for 60 days. The EO took effect on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
The order covers Ginatilan, a southern Cebu town, and Cebu City, where cases of ASF have been confirmed.
The EO will also apply in areas in Cebu placed under ASF-related movement restriction by the Provincial Veterinary Office of Cebu, Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Animal Industry, and other veterinary authorities.
The province will also be strict with shipment entering its territory.
