Liberation War Affairs Minister Ahmed Azam Khan today (29 August) said BNP wants to build a democratic and prosperous Bangladesh based on established human rights.
"BNP wants to build a democratic and prosperous Bangladesh in this country with established human rights," he said.
He made the remarks at a press conference organised at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center on the occasion of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances 2026.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, we want to build such a social system where the word 'disappearance' will not exist, and neither will the words 'torture' and 'repression'," he said.
