The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) on Wednesday introduced eight air-conditioned ‘Vajra Vistara’ buses on the Bengaluru–Kunigal route, aimed at improving connectivity between the two places.

The services operate on route no. V-EX-KGL-1 between Kempegowda Bus Station (KBS) and Kunigal, covering a distance of 73 km. The service comprises 40 trips a day, with buses operating at intervals of 40 to 45 minutes. The fare for the full journey between KBS and Kunigal is ₹120, including GST and toll charges, according to a release.

The buses will operate from KBS to Kunigal from 7.10 a.m. to 9.30 p.m., while services from Kunigal to KBS will run from 7.40 a.m. to 8.55 p.m. Stops along the route include Navarang, Govardhan Talkies, Goraguntepalya, Widia, Nelamangala bypass, Gudemaranahalli, Solur and Marur Hand Post.
