A total of 23 persons — relatives of persons who went missing in the Nepal floods — presented blood samples at Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital on Saturday for conducting DNA tests.
According to official sources, the exercise of collecting blood samples from the relatives of those persons who had undertaken the tour to Nepal from Thanjavur and neighbouring districts and had not yet been found in the recent flood, was primarily to ascertain the DNA so as to compare the same with the bodies recovered by the Nepal administration.
