NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed Bharatiya Janata Party's newly appointed team of national office-bearers, claiming it to be a blend of experience, energy and grassroot connect.In a social media post on X, PM Modi said that the newly appointed office bearers will strengthen the party and focus on public service."Congratulations to the newly appointed National Office Bearers of the BJP and those who have been given various responsibilities in the Party," the Prime Minister said."This newly appointed team brings together organisational experience, energy and grassroots connect. I am confident they will give their best in strengthening our Party and focussing on public service. My best wishes to them," he added.BJP announced its new national team under party president Nitin Nabin, appointing 13 vice presidents, including Ram Madhav, Lok Sabha MP D Purandeshwari and former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat.Union minister Piyush Goyal has been appointed national treasurer.The party also retained B L Santhosh as National General Secretary (Organisation) and inducted former Union minister Smriti Irani and former Tripura chief minister Biplab Kumar Deb as national general secretaries.Vinod Tawde and Sunil Bansal are the only two national general secretaries retained in the new team. BJP has also brought in several new faces, including Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Sandeep Pathak and Manoj Tigga, as national secretaries.Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Baijayant Jay Panda and Rekha Verma have been retained as vice presidents.Get the latest India News and Live updates.
