BlackRock, IFC join record 20 cornerstone investors in Mynt IPO

Mynt Inc., the parent company of leading homegrown financial technology (fintech) platform GCash, has disclosed the list of its 20 cornerstone investors, consisting of 14 foreign funds and six Philippine institutions that have committed to take up 70 percent of its initial public offering (IPO) shares.
Among the institutional investors that have committed to subscribe to the IPO are the world’s largest asset manager BlackRock Inc., Capital Research and Management Co., British asset management firm Schroder Investment Management, T. Rowe Price, and the World Bank Group’s (WBG) private-sector arm International Finance Corp. (IFC).
The firm said it has filed its Red Herring Prospectus in connection with its proposed IPO and listing on the main board of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).
