The Springboks Women will go into their clash against the Black Ferns on Saturday night without a head coach.
Swys de Bruin stepped down from the role just two days out from the clash at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg, with assistant coaches Laurian Johannes-Haupt and Franzel September taking the helm in the interim.
The move comes after South African media reported a dispute between de Bruin and South Africa Rugby, and was confirmed in a media release ahead of this weekend’s test.
Johannes-Haupt and September led the team in their recent tests away from home, against Kenya and Fiji, as de Bruin had remained in South Africa.
