Black Ferns v Scotland: Whitney Hansen makes several changes for penultimate test in Europe
The Black Ferns rugby team has announced several changes to their front row for their upcoming test match against Scotland. Coach Whitney Hansen is focusing on building squad depth and gaining experience for players ahead of next year's Lions tour.
Why it matters
Strategic squad rotation in international rugby is essential for maintaining competitiveness in high-stakes tournaments like the Lions tour.
The Black Ferns will run out with a new-look front row in the penultimate test of their European tour.
Meeting Scotland in Edinburgh on Sunday morning, Whitney Hansen and her management team have made several changes as they continue to give opportunities to players in their squad.
In the front row, both props have been changed as Maddison Robinson starts at loosehead with Mo’omo’oga Palu at tighthead. They join hooker Georgia Ponsonby, who will again captain the side and is one of seven players in the run-on XV to remain in the squad after last weekend’s win over France.
