Black Ferns look to dominate age-old rivals England at Twickenham

<p>After an absence of nearly two years, the biggest rivalry in women's rugby returns when England hosts New Zealand in front of more than 55,000 at Twickenham this weekend.</p> <p>The Black Ferns feel confident ahead of their Sunday match against the Red Roses, where they look to add an eighth straight win to their 2026 season.</p> <p>Black Ferns captain Georgia Ponsonby told 1News lots of preparation went into this week's match following a <a href="https://www.1news.co.nz/2026/09/20/black-ferns-remain-unbeaten-in-wxv-global-series-after-win-over-scotland/" target="_blank">66-14 victory against Scotland</a>.</p> <p>"Scotland tested us in some areas which is really cool, particularly in our defence," she said.</p> <p>"They were a quality team and last week's performance was good but it's not good enough to beat England."</p> <p>Ball play will be a point of focus for the Kiwis, with the team aiming to make more controlled handling decisions.</p> <p>Black Ferns attack coach Tony Christie said being patient with the ball was crucial for…
