Black Caps: Rachin Ravindra dislocates shoulder in freak accident during Sky shoot

Black Caps allrounder Rachin Ravindra has injured himself in a “freak accident” while filming a promotional shoot with Sky.
The 26-year-old has dislocated his right shoulder after attempting to take a diving catch during the shoot with the broadcaster, which could leave him out of the five-match T20I series against India starting on October 22.
Initial assessments have cleared Ravindra of major structural damage, but his return to play will be determined by his progress during the first few weeks of rehabilitation.
Black Caps performance manager Mike Sandle said Ravindra landed awkwardly on a safety mat while attempting the catch.
“It was a really unfortunate injury,” Sandle said.
“We’re gutted for Rachin and our key priority is making sure he recovers well and gets back on the field as soon as he can.
