BJP tells Revanth to focus on farmers’ issues, not Delhi protest

The Telangana BJP has criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for traveling to Delhi to protest electoral roll revisions instead of addressing local farmer issues. The BJP also accused the Congress government of failing to act on corruption allegations against the previous BRS administration.
Why it matters
This reflects the ongoing political friction between the ruling Congress party and the BJP in Telangana, highlighting how regional political priorities are debated.
Telangana BJP on Thursday criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his Cabinet colleagues for travelling to Delhi to protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls while “ignoring the problems faced by farmers due to power cuts and water shortages”.
Addressing a press conference at the party’s State office, party chief spokesperson N.V. Subash mocked the Chief Minister for speaking about democracy and voting rights and alleged that Mr. Revanth Reddy had undermined the sanctity of the electoral process through his involvement in the 2015 “Vote for Note” case.
