Why it matters
This highlights the political polarization surrounding national education crises and the government's efforts to control the narrative regarding examination integrity.
BJP’s Andhra Pradesh spokesperson Valluru Jayaprakash Narayana has alleged that certain political parties and organisations are exploiting the NEET paper leak issue to indulge in anti-national activities under the guise of student protests in New Delhi.
The NDA government remained fully committed to protecting students’ interests and was taking prompt corrective measures to address irregularities in the examination process, Mr. Narayana said while addressing the media here on Friday. The Union Government had taken a clear stand on the paper leak issue, he asserted.
Referring to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s statement, he said the Centre had expressed regret over the lapses and assured students that a re-examination would be conducted, if necessary. He maintained that no student would be allowed to suffer injustice.
