The Andhra Pradesh BJP Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha on Sunday (July 12, 2026) accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of politicising Dalit issues and attempting to create divisions within society for political gain, and asked the State government to take legal action against certain individuals over their alleged remarks on Hindu beliefs.
Addressing a press conference in Vijayawada , BJP SC Morcha State president Panthala Suresh said the NDA government was prioritising the welfare and empowerment of Scheduled Castes through various socio-economic programmes.
He alleged that YSRCP president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was attempting to create differences among Dalit communities to obstruct the State government’s development agenda, and appealed to Dalits not to become instruments of political conspiracies.
