Minister for Urban Development Yathindra Siddaramaiah has criticised Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) padayatra, saying that it has completely failed to gain public support.
Speaking to reporters in Raichur on Sunday, Mr. Yathindra alleged that the BJP is continuing its protest solely for political gain, despite B. Nagendra’s resignation from his ministerial post, which was their primary demand.
He said that instead of utilising the Legislative Assembly session to address public issues, such as drought conditions and farmer grievances, the BJP leaders chose to prioritise their political agendas and waste time.
Mr. Yatindra further added that the Opposition showed no genuine concern or clarity regarding public issues, dry spells, or agricultural distress, focusing entirely on scoring political points during the Assembly session.
